We have set ourselves the aim of opening up new avenues in the field of life assurance and pension planning.

The first step in Europe was the launch of the TwinStar product in Germany in April 2006, a ground breaking concept in personal pension planning. Since then AXA Life Europe has entered the market in Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, UK and Ireland.

AXA Life Europe underwrites a range of products with guaranteed minimum benefits. These products are generically known as Variable Annuity or GMxB products.

With its highly successful Accumulator product, AXA Life Europe provides European customers with a unique equity and balanced fund investment opportunity. In Germany the Accumulator product goes by the name of TwinStar. Accumulator and TwinStar products rely on a sophisticated risk management framework providing customers with dependable guarantees.

Whilst AXA Life Europe's primary focus is variable annuity business, in 2009 the Company began selling a single premium investment bond into both the UK and Irish markets.
